So are you selling this stuff? My girls would love a pair of these cute little shoes. They are in a size 1 1/2-2. I love them. How much would you charge to do two pair? This is Melissa's SIL, btw.
I don't sell them, at least not yet. But lots of people on etsy do. Here's a link to one of them: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=38083013&ref=sr_gallery_5&&ga_search_query=mary+jane+crossover&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=1&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title
It really is $6 just for one pattern, though she sells a pack of three patterns for $16. I figured it was worth it though, because I'd never have to buy another baby gift. Plus, I don't mind supporting people who make patterns. They've gotta make a living somehow. I guess it's not so worth it if you're only making one pair of shoes though. I really wish the one pattern included baby and toddler sizes.
Um...thought I posted a 'thank you' comment a few days ago when they arrived but I don't see it here so maybe it got lost in cyberspace. Anyway, thanks! We LOVE them, think they are SUPER cute, and promise to send pictures of Baby A wearing them. Thanks again, you're amazing Schmath!
You know what? I just used a smaller needle, and they came out like a size 1. This was a weird pattern, I've never seen one where you don't end off every row with a slip stitch, they way she just keeps going round and round was a little confusing. It took me about 3 pairs before I finally felt comfortable. Anyway, fun booties, thanks for introducing them.
Holy mackerel, Schmath, you are a knitting MACHINE!!! And they all look so good, too!

ReplyDeleteI love this pattern, and her others, but is it really $6 for JUST the one bootie pattern, or does it come with a bunch of them?

ReplyDeleteI'm pretty good with patterns, and I think I'm going to buy this one, so let me work on it, maybe I can adjust it to larger sizes.
