I did most of this while my kids were taking their afternoon nap today. The yarn is super bulky, and I used 10 mm needles. I used this pattern, but only did two repeats of the cable pattern and added the scallops on the bottom. Hanne walked off with my cable needle, so I didn't use one, and instead tried this tutorial on cabling without a cable needle. I'm glad I did because I think it was simpler than scouring the house trying to find where Hanne had stashed the cable needle. I already had to keep track of a stitch marker that fell off and got lost in the couch every time I finished a round, and with the messy state of my house, finding a stitch marker is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Cute! You're getting so good! I haven't learned scalloped edges yet. But I never did buy a cable needle and haven't missed one either!
ReplyDeleteHey can I just come and hang out with you and can you give me the tutorial?
ReplyDeletePlease?
Come on man, I won't stay for long this time and talk your ear off so Pugs can mock me.
I also promise that Dru won't get any more ice cream toppings.
